Green Day Has Funko POPs & Billy’s Still Writing New Music

One of the most iconic pop-punk bands is apparently to receive their own “line” of Funko Pops!

Funko Pop! has given us rock fans a wave of figurines such as Fall Out Boy’s, My Chemical Romance, and Black Sabbath’s new album-inspired figurines; we have a lot of unique collectibles to get our hands-on. Figures of Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool, and Mike Dirnt are rumored to be in the works.

According to social media, the figurines will be rocking Green Day’s most notable outfits: the matching red suits or the black shirt and pants with Billy’s iconic red tie. Tweets from Funko POP News state that “Something for Green Day fans, these will be landing alongside many others in the next Funko POP Rocks wave!”

On a similar note, Billy has recently hinted at new music by the trio. “I’ve been writing a lot,” he said. “I’m always putting something together, whether it’s a full demo in my small studio or just some voice notes on my phone.” Hopefully, his writing will turn into yet another masterpiece to get our hands on this/next year.

Nothing’s definite but the moment the vinyl figurines are confirmed, I will be buying them all. The official site has not come forward on the rumors or posted any pictures. Despite that, fans are already speculating which era the Green Day Pop!s will be based on. So far, the most popular assumption by Reddit fans would be the American Idiot or Dookie era. As for the latest music, I hope they pull through.
