Every Single Laura Marie Tattoo – Ink Master

One artist has emerged as the winner of Ink Master’s Battle of the Sexes. The twelfth season’s champion has been crowned: Laura Marie of Rochester has shown she has what it takes to crush the opposition.

She created winning master artwork – specifically specialing in badass new school designs – that AMP is just in love with. Below lies a look back at every one of Laura Marie’s tattoos, from sleek aliens and robots to her 35-hour Master Canvas.

The Ink Will Speak For Itself (season 12, episode 1)

Laura is “here to prove that [women tattoo artists] we can bring innovative ideas to the table.” And she does just that and more with her first ever tattoo of the season, collecting a win – and many more followed – for the women’s team.

A Storm Is Brewin’ (season 12, episode 2)

Episode two’s challenge was to show flawless shading with a black and grey tattoo. She received amazing feedback until Oliver Peck claims that the detailed lack towards the bottom part of the jaw.

Down the Wire (season 12, episode 3)

This episode’s tattoos were all about legibility within a surrealistic piece. Complimented the composition and badass look of the headless suit.

The Hunter & The Hunted (season 12, episode 4)

A beautiful neo-traditional tattoo with the only “complaints” being directed towards the delicate look of a fierce animal that the tiger was.

The Art Stands Alone (season 12, episode 5)

In this episode, the judges are critiquing the tattoos blindfolded. So, Laura’s piece, clean and precise as always, was mistakenly believed to be Cam Pohl’s.

Art of War

Laura plays it safe in this episode with little to no detail or story in her cross-stitch tattoo.

Sabotage (season 12, episode 6)

Head to head with none other than Dani, the two had to create the same design. As Dani is known as one of the most fierce competitors, Laura knew that if she took home the win, she would be proving a lot. And she did.

Pins & No Kneedles (season 12, episode 7)

Crazy awesome new school pieces and drama within alliances. Once again, Laura takes it all the way home with possibly AMP’s favorite Ink Master’s tattoo.

Drawing Alliances (season 12, episode 8)

In this episode, everyone must free-hand separating the real Ink Masters from the tattooers.

By Accident Or By Design (season 12, episode 9)

Laura steals the episode with another gnarly tattoo. Jason and Laura’s tattoos go head to head – her’s looking slightly sharper and just that much more distinct.

AND a six-hour tattoo of their own line drawings.

Having to tattoo Cam’s design – Laura falls short.

Roll of the Dice (season 12, episode 10)

Cover-ups. The best tattoo to tattoo. Definitely. However to be Ink Master you have to be able to do everything. Clean, sticker tattoo, yet again. Aliens rule, and Laura tattoos them best.

Put Your Ink Where Your Mouth Is (season 12, episode 11)

No more alien tattoos. Laura decides to take the risky route and completely stop playing it safe. She goes with a beautiful color-saturated butterfly.

AND

Two elimination tattoos that HAD to be in two different styles so ridiculously different.

Moving Pictures (season 12, episode 13)

Bullshit from Cam however Laura still pushes through with a black and grey mandala. Near perfect line work, rich blacks, delicacy, and flawless shading.

Unfriendly Fire (season 12, episode 14)

In this episode, Laura shows her portrait work. And she nearly pulls out a hit. From the far it looks good, however, Oliver Peck points out the fucked up neck and odd-looking hair that doesn’t even connect.

Set Up Or Shut Up (season 12, episode 15)

Everyone must tattoo each artist’s design, this sadly, is where Laura slightly falls through, in this tattoo marathon.

“unsmooth” and “lack of dimension” stop her from winning the first round.

“What happened to this one,” the judges harshly laugh at Laura’s tattoo following Jason’s design.

Even Laura’s design does not live up to her name. As it is just wildly underwhelming.

Color neo-traditional she pulls herself together with sharp and nicely-done linework.

AND one more faceoff of the same style and subject as one of their opponent’s best tattoos from throughout the season.

She picks a plague doctor in a style that she has not shown the judges before. She proves that she was there to prove herself in diverse artwork. Her amazing saturation highlights around the stitching, and rich contrast pulls through and secures her into the finale.

Battle of the Sexes Finale (season 12, episode 16)

With days to design and tattoo, Laura creates her most elaborate piece yet. With a huge ancient God tattoo and so much to prove Laura pushes herself through this tattoo that crowns her season 12’s ink master.
