Following the release of HEROES & VILLAINS on Friday, Metro Boomin is releasing an instrumental version of the album. All of the album’s original songs are included in the “Heroes Version,” along with more minimal renditions that let Young Metro’s production prowess truly stand out.
Although it’s unlikely that listeners will prefer the star-studded instrumental version over the star-studded original, which features cameos from Travis Scott, A$AP Rocky, Future, and Gunna among others, the “Heroes” edition is a good opportunity to pay close attention to Metro’s production decisions. Rappers and producers can use it as a base to freestyle over or sample it for their own singles.
Four years after the release of its debut solo LP, NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES, Metro released its sophomore effort. Fans eagerly anticipated the producer’s next solo project while he collaborated with 21 Savage for Savage Mode II and Gunna for Drip Season 3. Now, some listeners are already looking forward to Metro’s continued work on a deluxe version of HEROES & VILLAINS.
