Former President Donald Trump has turned himself in to the Manhattan district attorney’s office for his alleged involvement in a hush money payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.
Trump arrived at the district attorney’s office and was met with both supporters and protesters, including Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and George Santos.
Despite his previous claims of being unfairly targeted, Trump will remain in custody throughout the day until his arraignment, after which he will be free to leave without posting bail. The exact charges against him are unknown, as the indictment is still under seal. However, sources suggest that there are about 30 counts related to document fraud.
It’s clear that the former President is not immune to prosecution, and many hope that justice will be served in this case. While Trump may continue to slam the merits of the case against him, the fact remains that he has been indicted and will face the consequences of his alleged actions.
As for the future, only time will tell what impact this will have on Trump’s political career and the nation as a whole. For now, all we can do is wait and see what the justice system decides.
