YouTube sensation Nandi Bushell was thrilled to receive a gift from Muse’s Matt Bellamy, who expressed his admiration for her Muse covers by sending her one of his unmistakable guitars.
Named the best drummer in the world by Grohl, the edgy young wonder first reveals a postcard that came with the set, showcasing the Muse vocalist, in the video below. “Hi Nandi, love the new covers. Thought you might like to perform some on my signature model. Best wishes from Matt and the guitar team,” – Bellamy.
The 10-year-old at that point opened the bundle and opened up Bellamy’s Manson MBM1 guitar, delightedly replying, “That is epic! Thank you, thank you, thank you Matt Bellamy for giving me your signature guitar. I love Muse and hope to jam with you, Dom, and Chris one day too.”
Nandi Bushell has played drums, bass, and guitar to rock out a front of Muse’s “Plug-In, Baby” on her YouTube channel several times.
Bushell wrote: “I really had to practice a lot to get my playing up to speed. Everything you hear is me. No backing tracks. I recorded each track using Logic Pro.”
Below is her amazing cover of “Plug-In Baby” by Muse. It’s hard to believe she’s only ten years old! She wrote in the description: “This is my 3 Muse cover now. I want to be able to play like all 3 members of Muse. Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme, and Dominic Howard.”
She also added: “@Muse – 20 Years of Plug In Baby. I was -10 when it came out :-)”
Meanwhile, Matt Bellamy has confirmed that a new Muse album is in the works. The frontman revealed that the early stages of the band’s follow-up to 2018’s ‘Simulation Theory’ were influenced by “the protests and all the chaos” that “kicked off” in 2020.
